A trusted name since 1940
Established in 1940 by Premchand Gupta, Prakash Namkeen Udyog is a perfect example of big things with humble beginnings. What started as a small-scale namkeen business in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, is today one of the most popular brands of India.
A passion for food and a determination to provide the best products to consumers led to the birth of Prakash Namkeen Udyog. The company believes that taste and health go hand in hand and emphasises on high quality as well as variety. It offers a great range of delicacies, each with the authentic taste of Indore.
In a journey that has spanned seven decades, Prakash Namkeen Udyog has passed various milestones but the most prominent among them is the development of an innovative and extremely popular product called Prakash Namkeen Khatta Meetha Mixture. The delectable speciality continues to be synonymous not just with the brand, but also Indore. Today, there are many such gems in their crown, some of which include baked goodies, soanpapdi and laddu, and Indian traditional bites’ division.
The enterprise uses both traditional as well as modern technology for manufacturing products and is reaching even greater heights under the ownership of Rajkumar and Deepak Gupta.
Prakash Namkeen Udyog has a wide range of products such as namkeen, sweets, traditional bites, and cookies. The brand boasts more than 100 types of varieties including Ratlami sev, laung sev, khatta mitha mix, tasty peanuts, dry fruit mini kachori, dry fruit mini samosa, besan ladoo, and soan papdi. Each product, made using best-quality ingredients, comes with innovation and the authentic touch of Indore and Malwa region. The company endeavours to provide its trusted customers delicious food for a healthy body and mind.
A delectable variety of sev, Prakash Namkeen Laung Sev is spicy with a wonderful flavour of laung (clove). The thin, yellow strands of deep-fried gram flour are absolutely crispy and crunchy. Use the product as an evening snack,a topping for chaat, or an ingredient to prepare dishes such as poha (flattened rice) and sevtamatar (tomato-based curry). Popular among all ages, it is a great titbit to offer to guests during festivals and get-togethers.
Tomato sev curry is an interesting side dish. Prepare the gravy in advance and Prakash Namkeen Laung Sev minutes before serving it. Let the sev cook in the tangy gravy only for two minutes to ensure its crunchiness is intact. Here’s a warning: this spicy treat may make your guests forget the main course.
