My Name Is Kesar And I Am Not A Spice

by SaleBhai Team - 19-Jun-2017 - #AamBaat

To my two-legged fans

My name is Kesar and I am not a spice.

After getting stereotyped for centuries, I hereby submit my official protest and hope to enjoy your complete support for the same.

Yes, just like my namesake, I am also immensely popular worldwide. I have orange flesh and a unique taste. But, I am not a spice. Period.

I am a fruit and a proud one at that. They don't give you a GI tag for nothing. Please stop confusing me for the luxury spice that makes your biryani special. As a matter of fact, have me after your biryani for proper digestion. However, I am exclusively available only in the summer months. So enjoy me while I am still here.

From getting introduced by the wazir of Junagadh named Sale Bhai to being offered worldwide by the wesbite for authentic and unique regional products Salebhai.com, I have loved the excitement and joy that most of you show every time you have me in your hands. Yes, that makes me proud and I thank you for that. But please ensure no one mistakes me, the queen of mangoes, for a spice.

With loads of sweetness
Kesar Aam
Junagadh, Gujarat

P.S. - Want some original mangoes from their authentic places of cultivation? Buy original Banarasi Langra from Banaras, Dasheri from Malihabad & Banganpalli from Rayalaseema starting at Rs 719 (5 kg) only. Click https://www.salebhai.com/mango
