Cashew Sauce

There are some magic ingredients that adds a punch to any dish; cashew sauce is one of them. Just a little salt, garlic, and water, and watch the plain boring cashews transform into a rich creamy sauce. Use it for your chicken gravies, masala subzi, and just about anything. Opening another door to innovation, you can add other ingredients to this sauce to customise it according to your palate – for instance, cheese and chilli for a yummy dip.

Ingredients:

Cashews - 2 cups
Water - 1 ¼ cup
Garlic - 1-2 cloves
Salt - 1 tsp

Preparation:

  • Soak cashews for 2 hours, then drain and rinse
  • Use food processor or blender to mix the ingredients to smooth paste
  • Add more water for thinner consistency
  • Refrigerate and use within 3-4 days
