STORAGE & SHELF LIFE
  • Store in an airtight container at a cool, dry place
  • Use a dry spoon

Serving Tips
  • Soak 100 g/1 cup whole sabut urad (black gram), 2 tbsp of chana dal (Bengal grams) & 2 tbsp of rajma (kidney beans) overnight
  • Add 1 tbsp of ginger-garlic paste, cinnamon stick, 1 tbsp mustard oil, 1 chopped onion & 1 tsp jaggery
  • Boil the above in a cooker for 40 minutes
  • Take 2 to 4 tbsp of ghee separately in a pan
  • Add 1 medium finely chopped onion
  • Saute till golden brown
  • Add 1 tsp of ginger-garlic paste
  • Put in 2 medium, finely chopped tomatoes & mix well
  • Cook it for 2 to 3 minutes
  • Add 3 tbsp of The Spice Chef Dal Makhani Masala
  • Mix well & add this mixture to the boiled dal
  • Simmer it on a slow flame for an hour
  • Add ½ glass of milk & 2 to 3 tsp of butter while simmering
  • Serve & garnish with cream & coriander
