Founded on 1st April, 2015, in Andheri East, Mumbai, The Green Snack Cobegan with the motive of offering delicious, nutritious snacks. The founder Jasmine Kaur, who is also the current owner, felt the need to find a snack that was tasty, crunchy, and nutritious at the same time. The absence of such products in the market inspired Kaur to quit her job and start this venture.
The starting philosophy of the company was to offer snacks made of fresh and natural ingredients without any added sugar, preservatives, additives, MSG, and flavourings. To ensure the unaltered raw taste, the products are prepared without frying or baking. After a detailed global research, the initiator identified a leafy vegetable called kale as her preferred base. She noticed that recipes all over the world used this special vegetable.
The initial offerings of this reputed brand involved several varieties of kale chips. To ensure that global standards are met, the owner imported the equipments required for making chips from United States of America. The current production capacity of this reputed company is one tonne per day, thanks to the ever-growing demand and market share.
The brand today specialises in different varieties of kale chips and quinoa puffs. None of the products are baked or fried to ensure maximum health quotient. The items offered do not contain any preservatives and are made of natural seasoning. With emphasis on premium raw materials, unique recipes, health quotient, and constant betterment, this special venture continues to earn the trust of Indian customers.
