About Tariero Artisan Roastery – Bangalore, Karnataka

For the Love of Coffee

Some like their coffee hot and others love it cold; the eternal love for these exquisite beans is unending. Good news is on the horizon for all you coffee addicts out there. To give you a taste of the finest gourmet coffee in India, we introduce to you Tariero Artisan Roastery. Based in Bangalore and established in 2014, this company was started by a group of entrepreneurs who have spent over a decade in the Specialty Coffee Industry of USA. They know their coffee inside out and now bring this knowledge and expertise to our country with a delightful, wide-ranging bouquet of coffees. Its sister company in USA – Karnataka Plantation Coffee Inc. – has been importing Indian coffees and selling it to high-end roasteries in various states for 12 years now. With a dedicated team of experts, the enterprise works with some of the best-known plantations of Chikmagalur, Coorg, and Sakleshpur to bring fresh, hand-picked coffee beans to its customers. Tariero Artisan Roastery uses 100% Indian coffees to create a variety of blends.

The company initially started by marketing pure and unadulterated coffee without added chicory. This included variants such as classic, espresso, and an Avant Garde collection. It does not believe in bulk-scale production. The brand buys, roasts, and blends in small lots, no more than 20 kg at a time. All their green coffees go through an intensive cupping process before being purchased.  Each batch of beans that is micro-roasted is also cup-tasted to determine which blend it will be used for. Then once the blends are created, they are tested once again to make sure the mix brings out all the nuances in the coffee that was envisioned.  The coffees are also often cupped by their international roaster colleagues to assess cup-profile integrity.

Specialities

Presently, Tariero Artisan Roastery’s exclusive range of products deals in coffee variants such as classic, espresso, Avant Garde, and Aromatique Infused collection. The company works directly with USA master-roasters and quality cuppers (Q cuppers) who understand the intricacies of coffees to create a superior brew.  They do not use chicory in their blends and the varieties are not instant coffees. All the flavourings used in Aromatique Infused collection are imported and certified by USDA Organic.

Each of their coffees is made fresh on order and then immediately packed in a moisture-proof laminated bag, with a one-way degassing valve to ensure freshness and shelf life. So if you are a connoisseur of coffee, your search for that perfect cuppa ends here. Buy coffee online today and get an exceptionally rich experience in every sip.

Back to ROOTS

The origin of coffee in our country commenced in Chikmagalur district of Karnataka located in southern India. The first seeds of these beans were planted along the slopes of the hills in Baba Budan Giri of Chikmagalur. During the 17th century, a Sufi saint – Baba Budan – started on a pilgrimage to Mecca. From there he smuggled back seven of these precious seeds and sowed them in his garden near a cave in Chandragiri. The range then named as Chandra Drona is currently called Baba Budan Giri. Even today, the best coffee beans are said to come from the coffee estates in this hilly region.  Arabica is one of the finest local grades that is a perfect boost in the mornings or while camping on the misty mountains of the Western Ghats. Robusta is yet another sturdy variety of beans ideal to be used in preparation of espresso coffee. This product will give you a caffeine kick you shall remember for a lifetime.

Get the COMPLETE picture

This blend of Arabica and Robusta coffee beans can be used to prepare espresso-based drinks such as lattes, cappuccinos, mochas, and even a nice strong Americano. Aptly termed after the Rogue River, it embodies the essence of one of the eight rivers in the United States designated as turbulent and magnificent. Due to its high caffeine content, it is ideal as a morning cuppa for instant refreshment.  Bold bodied with notes of deep chocolate and hints of berries, this is one of the most sought-after grades within espresso heads. It is packed in heat-sealed, one way degassing valve bags to ensure that the freshest coffee is delivered to you. You can brew it using cold filtered water with two rounded tablespoons of ground coffee per 240 ml water. Devoid of any added chicory and procured directly from the estates of Baba Budan Giri, this exotic gourmet beverage is perfect as a stimulant any time of the day.
