Shuchi, in Sanskrit, means ‘pure’. The name thus is perfect for a brand that stresses on purity – right from careful selection of ingredients to pristine manufacturing processes. Started solely as an export business by founders and current owners Ritesh Shah and Ravi Panchal, Shuchi began selling its products in Gujarat from 2011.
Shuchi had been processing and exporting quality food products to more than 10 countries, including the US and South Africa since 2009. Their initial offerings included bakery items, pickles, and khakhras (crisp rotis). It believes in providing excellent food products to Indians – whether in India or abroad.
Shuchi is a registered private limited company, with a license from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India. The brand has also been certified by the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority, Tea Board of India, and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Rating Agency.
Its products are made maintaining the highest-quality standards, compatible with the US Food and Drug Administration. A brand that does not compromise on quality, Suchi has now made remarkable inroads into the domestic market despite being a relatively new player.
Although Shuchi exports a wide array of food products, it has started out in India with only its delectable range of khakhras – jeera, masala, methi, and plain. They are made with 100% wheat flour and the finest ingredients to give that perfect bite to customers every time. The products are vacuum-packed to lock in freshness and provide a longer shelf life. Suchi, with all ears for feedback, surely knows how to stay ahead of the game.
A Gujarati speciality, khakhra is a deliciously crisp roti made with whole-wheat flour, oil, and salt.Spices are often thrown in for that extra zing. Usually served during breakfast, this handmade savoury can be relished with pickles, chutneys, and beverages. Shuchi Plain Khakhara is especially nutritious and a perfect substitute for roti. With nothing added to it except salt, this mild-flavoured namkeen is suitable for convalescents because it is easily digestible.
