Ratilal Chunilal Halwasanvala Kesar Sutarfeni is a famous Gujarati sweet that is flaky and mildly sweet. It is made with shredded phyllo – soaked in sugar water, mixed with saffron, and topped with ground dry fruits such as pistachios and almonds. This Khambhat speciliaty makes a wonderful dessert on festive occasions and is also available as a plain, unsweetened variety. It can be enjoyed with Basundi (sweetened dense milk) as well. Around 800 kg of this delicacy is sold every month.
