About Neeta Jain, Ahmedabad

Neeta Jain started painting professionally in 2005 after her husband encouraged her to submit her paintings for his newly renovated office. An aficionado of art and all things creative, she enjoyed drawing even as a child. These were appreciatedby friends and family who recognized the uniqueness of her work. In college, Neeta was fascinated by her aunt’s work and would observe her as she painted. Seeing her keen interest, her aunt taught her techniques and nuances, fostering the budding artist’s passion. Soon, she developed a unique style of her own. There has been no turning back for this prolific creator who finds inspiration everywhere.

Neeta paints with oil and acrylics on canvas and paper, using a palette knife to create different textures in her paintings. Sensitive to her moods, she takes to these mediums to express her emotions. She also takes orders and custom paints according to her clients’ preferences and tastes. A stickler for neatness, all her paintings have defined lines and finesse. Making around twenty-five paintings a year, each of her masterpieces is as vibrant and colourful as the next.

Specialities

Neeta’s paintings stand out because of the bright colours used to portray happiness and serenity. The artwork suits homes as well as offices with inspiration drawn from emotions and visuals around. Her paintings are known to elevate clients’ moods and create a harmonious ambience.

MORE ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Om, also spelled Aum, is considered to be the most sacred of all mantras in Hinduism. It is composed of three sounds—a-u and finally m. Om represents the earth, the atmosphere, and heaven. It also portrays the three most important Hindu gods—Brahma (The Creator), Vishnu (The Restorer), and Shiva (The Destroyer). Hindus believe that the first thing God created was the sound Om. It is from this mystic syllable that the universe came into being. Chanting Om therefore is considered sacred as a person becomes one with the universe.

NJ Arts Om Meditation by Neeta Jain is a unique painting with the auspicious symbol set against the background of what appears to be the universe. Painted in an attractive colour combination, this painting has specks of blue, red, and yellow with the symbol radiating positive energy all over the canvas. A labour of love by the artist, this painting took four days to complete.
