In 1945, Bhailalbhai D Suchak (Thakkar) moved from Saurashtra to Vadodara to pursue his dream of making a name for himself. He started his enterprise by selling the famous Gujarati snack khaman dhokla from a bucket. The dhokla was so delicious and fresh that very soon he had customers lining up for this scrumptious snack. This is how his journey began and today his creation, Jagdish Foods Pvt Ltd, also known as Jagdish Khaman House, is one of the leading manufacturers of Indian sweets and namkeen in the country. Suchak’s son Nitin Thakkar and grandson Ashesh Thakkar now carry his legacy forward. They take pride in selling khaman dhokla using the old recipe along with an impressive line-up of different varieties of food products.

Throughout the decades, the brand has upheld the tradition of keeping quality and hygiene its top priorities.The items are manufactured using the most advanced machines. Jagdish Khaman House obtains the best raw materials from reliable sources. Every step--picking, sorting, cleaning, and grinding of various pulses and spices, is carried. out in-house under stringent conditions.

The origin of Ratlami sev dates back to more than 136 years. In the late 19th century, the recipe was born out of the mughal emperor’s desire to have vermicelli.The local tribals prepared a dish with gram flour instead and called it Bhildisev, which later came to be known as the famous Ratlami sev we know and relish today.This speciality of Ratlam in Madhya Pradeshis a fried and crispy snack made with gram flour,clove,pepper, and other ingredients.The unique blend of spicesalong with garlic,gives Jagdish Foods RatlamiSev (Garlic)a unique taste.Garlic, known for its immense health benefits, imparts a wonderful flavour to the savoury.

Tomato sev curry

Ingredients:-

  •  Jagdish Foods Ratlami Sev (Garlic) – 1 cup
  • Curry leaves – 4-5
  • Chopped tomatoes – 2 cups
  • Garlic – 10-12 cloves
  • Coriander leaves – ¼ cup
  • Sugar – 2-3 tsp
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Green chillies– 1-2
  • Coriander powder – 1 tsp
  • Chilli powder – 1 tsp red
  • Turmeric powder – ½ tsp

Preparation:-

  • Heat oil in a pan and crackle mustard seeds along with curry leaves
  • Add crushed garlic and sauté until light brown
  • Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, and salt
  • Cook until tomatoes are soft and mushy
  • Add chopped coriander leaves and sugar
  • Saute for 5 minutes; add water and bring it to boil
  • Add  Jagdish Foods Ratlami Sev (Garlic) and cook for 1-2 minutes
  • Serve immediately
