In 1945, Bhailalbhai D Suchak (Thakkar) moved from Saurashtra to Vadodara to pursue his dream of making a name for himself. He started his enterprise by selling the famous Gujarati snack khaman dhokla from a bucket. The dhokla was so delicious and fresh that very soon he had customers lining up for this scrumptious snack. This is how his journey began and today his creation, Jagdish Foods Pvt Ltd, also known as Jagdish Khaman House, is one of the leading manufacturers of Indian sweets and namkeen in the country. Suchak’s son Nitin Thakkar and grandson Ashesh Thakkar now carry his legacy forward. They take pride in selling khaman dhokla using the old recipe along with an impressive line-up of different varieties of food products.

High standards are maintained even during packaging to retain unbeatable quality and freshness. In 2012 the offerings from Jagdish Khaman House, whose production capacity is two tonnes a day, were adjudged Gujarat’s Best Namkeen by the Times Group.
The brand offers many varieties in sweets and namkeen such as bhakarwadi (crispy fried rolls), chana chor (black-gram snack), dalmuth (masoorsavoury), falahari chivda (snack for fasting), fulwadi (crispy, fried croquettes), motichur ladoo (golden-fried gram flour pearls fused with sugar syrup), and nylon gathiya (thick sev).
