More than six decades ago, the late Harinarayan Agrawal set up Agrawal Sweets in Indore. The founder, previously working for a sweet shop, strongly felt the absence of standard sweets in the city. With grit and hard work, he managed to open his very own confectionery. Agrawal Sweets soon earned the respect of customers as it consistently delivered tasty and high-quality products. Today, Agrawal Sweets has five outlets at prominent locations in Indore.
Propelled by its popularity, the younger generation of the Agrawal clan set up a new entity, Agrawal’s Delight, in 2012 to fill in the requirement for quality and hygienic namkeen and bakery products in the city. They also explored the untouched market of fusion sweets with innovative offerings such as chocolate pista laddu. Agrawal’s Delight differentiates itself through innovative, attractive packaging, and a legacy that continues to build on the foundation created by Agrawal Sweets. The vibrant modern avatar of the original store combines traditional knowledge of preparing goodies with modern innovation, delighting customers with fusion products. The company has a 3,000-sq ft factory with a state-of-the-art bakery facility and two overground kilns. Its daily production averages 1,500 kg.
The family business is now run by the fifth generation, with Manish Agrawal and his nephew Abhishek Agrawal helming the brand. Agrawal’s Delight has also gone online with Wow Indore, an initiative to tap into the corporate gifting market.
Agrawal’s Delight offers an array of namkeen (sev, mixtures, savouries), baked goods (cookies, puffs, toasts, breadsticks), sweets (traditional, fusion, seasonal, sugar-free), and processed dry fruits. Ratlami sev and mini kachori are its highest-selling products. The brand prioritises quality, health, and proper packaging above all else. Customers are assured of purity and taste every time they buy an Agrawal’s Delight product. The company constantly studies people’s demands and adapts accordingly. Its dry-fruit range and fusion sweets exemplify the company’s innovative spirit. Choco pista laddu, a signature product of the brand, is one such example.
